Tee-peg drill for a better pitch strike

Use the t-peg exercise and try to draw the ball right to left by about one yard, opening up and clipping it so the peg barely moves. The drill teaches a better swing plane and release, and catching the ball around the third groove gives more flight and spin control. Rolling and pulling the arms sends contact high on the clubface.

Try it

  1. Hit balls off the t-peg
  2. Feel like you open up and clip it, trying to draw the ball right to left about one yard
  3. Do it correctly and the t-peg will barely move, catching it on the third groove

Why this context matters

Coach calls it an instinctive drill you don't need to overthink.
