Match wedge bounce to turf firmness

For turf with more give, the coach favors more bounce - the bounce helps push the club and keep it surfing on top of the grass. For firm turf (his examples: Midland, Texas, or links conditions in Scotland), he wants less bounce, because a high-bounce wedge of 12-14 degrees laid open sits propped way up and looks bad, whereas a lower-bounce wedge sits flat to the ground like a putter.
