Add a touch of wrist hinge on long winter lag putts
On long lag putts of roughly 25-40 feet on slow winter greens, allow yourself a touch of wrist hinge - a little pop - rather than a pure pendulum stroke. The hinge gives the putt a lot more authority right through the ball so it runs out to the fringe or hole much more easily, whereas the summer pendulum stroke would struggle to get it there.
