Tight mown Bermuda: 8-iron chip-and-run, land it short

Off tight, closely mown Bermuda the instructor plays a simple chip-and-run with an 8-iron, landing it about 30% of the way and letting it run out. He recommends a club that won't spin too much so the ball releases up to the hole, and notes you could never use an 8-iron from the fluffy longer grass.
