Play the chip-and-run with any club to control run

Release one can be played with any club: keep the same setup and same swing and just change the club and your landing spot to control how much the ball runs. A 56 lands softer with spin; a 9-iron or 7-iron has little spin and runs more, so bring the landing spot progressively back for the straighter-faced clubs.
