Control the club face with your lead hand

The instructor says club face control is not the right (trail) hand turning over but how you rotate the lead hand. He wants the host to feel the bottom three knuckles of the lead hand drive down through impact; when he drives those three knuckles down, the club face closes. He demonstrates it with his own lead hand.
