Set shoulders down toward the ball on the backswing
Many golfers come out of their posture on the backswing and level their shoulders out, horizontal to the ground. Saguto teaches that the best ball strikers instead turn and set their shoulders down toward the ball, maintaining the body's inclination to the ground. That downward-set turn, not a flat one, is the core of a sound shoulder turn.
