Umbrella drill for a one-piece takeaway
The umbrella drill is presented as a way to nail the start of the swing. The instructor sets an umbrella on the ground pointing down the target line, addresses it with the club snug right behind it, and gets into posture. Starting the swing then means engaging the turn and moving the arms back as one piece so everything moves away in unison, pushing the umbrella away to the top. He notes that loose hands fail to move the umbrella and a crooked move pushes it away crooked.
