Avoid or manage the yardages you are weak from

The instructor makes the point that too many players want to be able to hit every shot when you really do not need to. If you are not good from 40 to 60 yards, he says you can either practice it hard to improve or simply stay away from it and not leave yourself shots from that range. He cites a story that Tiger reportedly faced a roughly 40 to 50 yard shot only about six times in a season as an example of managing a distance you avoid.
