Know when to use the hill drill and when to skip it
The coach frames when to use the ball-above-your-feet hill drill: it's great for shaping the backswing and transition and for getting the feel of skipping a rock or throwing an underarm pitch, and it especially helps golfers who stand up out of their posture. But it won't teach you to stay down. For a chronic stander-up he'd rather have you hit balls below your feet to force staying down, so use the hill drill to shape the backswing and transition, and don't overdo it.
