Chart your fairways and which way you miss
The instructor has the student track every drive on a scorecard: mark an X and note whether the fairway was missed to the left or the right, and a check mark when the fairway is hit. The point is that driving can look okay while the stats reveal the reality of how many fairways are actually missed.
