Fight a hooking lie by closing your stance
From a lie that wants to hook, Phil Mickelson does the opposite of the common reaction. Instead of opening up - which he says tends to produce a pull and makes it worse - he closes his stance and cuts across the ball, taking a nine iron so the shot comes in low without spinning.
