Know your stock carry yardages to map the course
The instructor stresses the value of knowing your stock yardages: it makes him "so much more confident" on the course and lets him "map out a golf course based off of those numbers." He recommends doing this at home if you can, and hitting stock swings rather than trying to overpower the ball so the averages reflect what you will actually use on the course.
