Create spin with a grabbing effect, not height

On pitch shots, spin comes from a grabbing effect between the clubface and the ball, not from hitting it high. Craig Hanson says many people wrongly think the higher you hit it the more spin you get; instead the goal is to avoid the ball slipping or floating off the face and to use dynamic loft (the loft you have at impact) together with an angle of attack around five to seven degrees.
