Verbalize each wedge distance so you own the shot
The instructor likes to have players build a short-game system with a defined method for each distance - 50, 60, 70 yards. His test is that if you own it you can verbalize it: for 60 yards, being able to say, for example, that you take it back three-quarters at a three-quarter pace. Verbalizing the shot, he says, is how you own it and believe in it.
