Trace your hand path with an alignment rod drill
The speaker demonstrates a drill using a club plus an alignment rod set as an extension of one another, off to the left side of the body. Taking the grip, the hand path moves down the line of the feet to what he calls the 'set position' at pocket high, while the club pushes down that line as long as possible until it sets with the end of the rod pointing at the ball.
