Clasped-hands drill to feel shoulder motion
To train the shoulder motion, the coach takes the club out of the hands and clasps the hands together with the arms extended straight, creating a single unit of hands, arms, and shoulders. Beginning with a gentle rocking motion through the first few feet of the swing, he feels the trail shoulder (the right shoulder for a right-handed player) moving back and up and the lead shoulder moving down toward the ball.
