Hit winter putts harder by increasing the beat of the stroke

Winter greens are soft, footprinted and much slower than summer, so it is very easy to leave putts short. The smooth pendulum stroke that works in summer won't get there - give the putt a little more of a rap and increase the beat of the stroke to add speed and energy, so the ball runs to the hole with more authority instead of dying short.
