Take an extra club and hit a knockdown from a bunker
From a fairway bunker the coach's players take one extra club, choke up half an inch, and swing shoulder to shoulder to hit a little knockdown shot, which he says gives more control. The shorter club and shoulder-to-shoulder knockdown take off about 10 yards, and the ball doesn't compress as much out of sand as off grass, which is why they take the extra club.
