Forward-ball drill to cover it and stop backing up
The coach demonstrates an iron drill: set up with the ball on the outside of the left shoe (well forward) while keeping the club and backswing in their normal positions, then react and move into the ball. To hit a ball this far forward well, he has to post up and get over his left side instead of backing up. He offers it as a drill for an early releaser, for someone who falls back, and for someone with a backache.
