De-loft a 60 for a low check-and-release spinner
For this specialist shot, de-loft a 60-degree wedge until the dynamic loft is about 40-45 degrees so the ball comes out low, spins, and skips up the slope. Put the ball on the right toe, add substantial shaft lean, move the chest in front of the ball to move the low point forward, and place the right hand more on top to turn the loft down. Use a release-zero action without releasing the club and finish short to keep the shot low.

- Take the 60 and de-loft it so the dynamic loft gets down to 40 or 45 degrees.
- Play the ball position further back in the stance than normal, on the right toe.
- Set a lot of shaft lean and get your chest in front of the ball to move the low point forward.
- Get the right hand a lot more on top and turn the loft down.
- Move through with a 'release zero' - not releasing the club at all - and finish short to hit it low.
