Avoid loading the back foot to set up a chip

Setting up with the weight on the back foot puts about 40% on the lead foot and 60% on the back foot, which forces a large shift — from 40% to 80% — to move toward the target. For such a small shot the instructor calls this too big a movement: it can throw you off and make you jerk through impact, so she advises against starting with a lot of weight on the right.
