Step-turn drill: keep the hands up at the top
The instructor teaches a transition drill built up in stages using a light racket: take the backswing, step, and let the hips turn while the hands stay up at the top and never come down. She builds it in three stages — first just step-turn with the hands staying up, then adding the follow-through, then hitting a ball off a tee.
