Keep the pin in on long putts, out on short ones

The Porzak coach keeps the flagstick in on longer putts because his players die the ball in at pace rather than ramming it, so it will drop if it goes in - and the pin gives better depth perception. On very long putts he even has someone tend it just for a visual presence by the hole. On short putts, he always pulls the pin.
