Coil around the lead hip as your anchor point
The coach describes the lead hip as the swing's anchor point. He uses a feel of holding a ball pinned between the lead hip and a wall: if you move laterally the ball slides down to your feet, but if you stay against the ball and turn your trail (right) cheek back toward the lead side you keep it pinned and gain range of motion. Holding the spine angle without leaning back gets the lead shoulder over the trail foot for a coiled upper body and loads pressure into the trail foot.
