Pause at the top, push back with your butt, then rotate
To stop hitting it high and fat, the instructor wants the player to maintain the angle and keep it ahead instead of throwing the club from the top. He has him rehearse the feel slowly: get up to the top of the swing, pause, push back with the butt as hard as he can, then rotate through (cued as 'turn left').
