Keep the feet quiet and pivot the chest when pitching
In short-game pitching, put pressure down through the feet into the ground with heavy feet and don't move side to side; flare the lead foot, choke down a little, keep weight on the forward side, and pivot the chest around your feet. Pictures of the greats show the trail foot barely gets off the ground. This is a short-game shot, so you don't weight-transfer or drive through it like a long shot.
