Lay up to the side that leaves the easier next shot

When laying up short of a green, choose the side of the fairway that gives the simplest approach given the pin position. Here the pin is tucked right, so pushing the layup right would force a shot over a bunker; laying up down the left leaves a much easier pitch in.
