Move ball back an inch in wet conditions
In wet conditions there is a premium on hitting ball first and limiting chunk shots. To do this the coach moves ball position back about an inch in the stance - just an inch, not a foot, roughly the middle of the stance - which produces more exaggerated ball-first contact. He cautions that moving it too far back makes you start thinning and topping the ball.
