Set up with left shoulder over your foot and arms hanging

For the chip-and-run setup, the instructor tucks the left side of the pelvis in so the left shoulder sits more over the front foot. He then softens a tight, cramped posture: let the arms hang more naturally, let the elbows fold, and feel the triceps rest onto the rib cage. He frames these basics as the change that makes everything downstream easier.
