Do the upside-down club whistle drill
For the instructor's frequently used drill, grip the club upside down and swing it while turning the body and left arm together and sweeping the ground so the shaft makes a whistle sound. Focus on that sound; repeating the drill improves the movement even before you consciously understand it.
