Club down to less loft when a chip has to climb a slope
When a chip-and-run to a back pin flies too high and dies into an upslope, treat it as a shot-selection error rather than a technique fault. Switch to less loft: use a 7-iron and land in the front patch so the ball runs through the fringe and runs out without changing the technique.
