Cup the lead wrist to keep loft and bounce on the soft chip

For the softer, spinnier greenside shot, the fault is the left wrist flexing down through the shot, which strips loft and bounce off the club. The fix: stand a bit lower, get the hands lower, feel the club stay outside, and get some cupping in the wrist so the club stays in a toe-up position. Keeping the loft and bounce lets you land it before the ball for a spinny, soft flight.
