Extend the palm pressure to nine o'clock
With a mid-iron, the instructor extends the same 45-degree pressure feel back to nine o'clock. The flat bit/palm pushes away, down, and around, the elbow naturally sits down, and the player returns down and around through the arc instead of rolling the wrists or coming over the top.
