Splash or squeeze: match the bunker shot to the sand
The bunker decision is whether the shot is a splash or a squeeze. A splash takes a longer, shallower divot; a squeeze takes a shorter, deeper divot, played with the ball back, standing more vertical and using more of the leading edge.
