Choke down to take distance off, stay aggressive
To take distance off a shot, the speaker prefers choking down on the club rather than swinging easy, keeping the swing aggressive. His reasoning is that it's hard to control slowing the body down when trying to swing with speed, so many golfers struggle to swing easy. Choking down takes some speed off; shortening the swing length is another option he uses.
