Align both grip pinches toward the trail shoulder
A strong grip should place the club in the pads, with the pinky pad aligned to the pinch pressure, rather than leaving the handle away from the knuckle pads. Put the lead-thumb fingerprint on the trail side of the club, then bring the extended trail palm onto the lead thumb and align the trail hand from pinky pad through index pad to pinch. The coach says this lets both hands and pinches work toward the trail shoulder with equal lead- and trail-wrist extension.
