Use a toe-struck putt-chip on a fast fringe

When a putter may run away on a fast green, the instructor uses a 56-degree putt-chip for more control. He raises the handle, strikes from the toe for a little more spin, and lands the ball one or two yards onto the green so it checks before feeding out.

Try it

  1. Get the handle really high.
  2. Hit it out the toe to get a little bit more spin.
  3. Land it around about a yard or two on the green so it checks and feeds out.
