Paint the ceiling and splatter the paint with driver
Maude's take-to-the-course drill (from his Pete Cowen driver lesson) turns the club into a paintbrush to blend the arm and body motion. With the club tucked in, imagine a ceiling above and hold the paintbrush at a slant over the trail shoulder, not vertical; on the backswing put the paintbrush up to the ceiling. Paint a straight line along the ceiling as you turn, then curve it around back to the ball into impact. The all-important part: don't flick the paint early (which pops the trail elbow out); keep the elbow in and 'splatter' or throw the paint down at the ball, adding speed by throwing rather than holding angles.
