Groove palm down slowly, judge by ball start line

To groove the palm-down change, the speaker suggests hitting shots at about 20% speed - going to the top, palm down, then swinging through - and judging success by whether the ball starts straight at the target rather than by whether the shots are good. He advises being patient because change takes time, then building up gradually to a fuller swing at about 60 to 80%.

Try it

  1. Hit shots at about 20% speed
  2. Go to the top of your backswing, palm down, and then swing through
  3. Don't worry if you're hitting good shots or not; just look at the straightness of the ball
  4. Be patient, then build it up into a fuller swing about 60 or 80%
