Train the release with a left-hand-only drill
Craig Hanson describes a lead-hand drill: making practice swings with the left hand only, swinging until the club is around parallel to the ground where you can see three fingers and the toe pointing upwards, then putting the right hand on and letting the club swoosh out in front as the lead wrist moves back up into extension. He presents it as an exercise for getting the lead hand to move into extension through the ball.

- Practice swings with your left hand first, get into the position where you can get the club around parallel to the ground
- You start to see these three fingers and you can get that toe to point upwards
- Then you can put your right hand on, get that club to swoosh out in front, and let that lead wrist move back up and into extension
Why this context matters
Presented as a fix for club golfers who flip the hands at impact instead of releasing into extension.
