Narrow your stance to take power out of chips

For a greenside chip where you have green to work with, narrow your stance to dial power out of the shot. Set one golf ball of gap between your heels, one clubhead between the middle of your feet, and two between your toes, with the trail (right) foot flared out. A full shoulder-width stance gives too long and powerful a swing and leads to thinning the chip; narrowing the stance takes that power out for short game.
