Set up with your shirt button covering the ball
The fix for tilting away from the target: set up with your chest over the ball. To find it, hold your hands out, bend from the waist until the club reaches the ground, and check that your shirt button covers the ball. If you've long set up tilted back, the correct position will feel like you're leaning left even though you're actually centered over the ball; a couple degrees of side tilt is natural because the trail arm sits lower than the lead arm.
