Split decisions and execution into red and green zones

The instructor separates decision-making from execution into two zones. Behind the ball is the 'red zone,' where he selects the club, picks his target, and makes his decisions. Stepping into the 'green zone' over the ball is where he hits the shot: he lines up, gets comfortable, and swings. He calls getting comfortable the most important part of the green zone, because being uncomfortable there leads to bad swings.
