Use a strong grip first to cure a slice
The instructor's first pillar is to start with a deliberately strong grip: rotate both hands away from the target so the club sits more in the fingers, with the trail hand more underneath and more knuckles showing on the lead hand. This promotes a right-to-left draw and helps your body move more efficiently in the downswing for better contact. Once you can curve it right to left, gradually neutralize the grip to straighten the flight.
