Position hybrid ball back, before your low point
For hybrids, fairway woods and long irons the club's low point sits under your lead armpit, so you must set the ball behind that low point to strike down on it. The instructor moves the ball back from a driver position to roughly just inside his lead foot, telling golfers to experiment with how far back.
