Build a post-shot routine to let the bad shot go

The instructor recommends a post-shot routine to release a bad shot: figure out what you did wrong and give yourself a second or two, which helps you let it go. Then take a practice swing with the correction, see the ball go where you want, and say 'next shot' before moving on.

Try it

  1. figure out what you did wrong
  2. give yourself a second or two to do that, which allows you to let it go
  3. take a practice swing with the way you want the correction
  4. see the ball go where you want and just say next shot
