Make your last three words point at the target
The speaker advises that your last three words to yourself before hitting should be specific and simple and point at the target -- for example 'to the target' or 'into the hole.' He warns against negative final thoughts (the 'ironic process theory'): telling yourself 'don't hit it in the water' tends to send the ball into the water, so aim your final thought where you want the ball to go.
