Swinging harder throws it right — take longer instead
The coach observes that when a golfer is already trying to hit it hard from the top, the chest and hands move in separate directions, and the harder they try, the more right they hit it. When he wants more speed himself, he instead takes longer and slower, letting the swing pick up speed later rather than directly from the top and transition — the same feel he calls letting it gather.
