Play bunker shots with a square face like a chip
Instead of the traditional method of opening the stance and laying the clubface flat, the coach sets up square as if chipping and keeps the clubface square to the ball. He plays the ball a little more forward in the stance, aims for a spot about an inch behind the ball, and blasts through. He frames it as a mindset shift for greenside bunker shots.

- just set up square like you're chipping
- lay the club square with the ball
- set up balls a little bit more forward in the stance
- all you have to do is just blast it just swing right through
- aiming for a spot right here behind the ball about an inch or so
Why this context matters
Contrasted against the traditional open-face bunker method the coach argues is harder for average golfers.
